What’s Crush or Flush™?
Crush or Flush is a fun, safe, and easy way to meet people, chat, and stay in contact with friends using your cell phone, iPhone, iTouch or your computer. Getting started is a no-brainer. First, upload your close up face pic, add a description, and create some tags that describe who you are (ex. 1 of a kind, tattoos, I keep it real). Get creative, express yourself. Second, let us know if you are looking for a woman, a man (or both). That’s it, you’re profile is done and you can start crushin’ and flushin’ people.
You browse people by gender, age, location, and interest (tags). If you find someone you like, add them as a friend or crush them. If not, flush them. Don’t worry… they’ll never know you flushed them so no hard feelings. If you add someone as a friend and they accept your generous invite; or you crush them and they crush you back---bingo—you’re friends. You’ll both get a text message letting you know that you like each other. Then you can start texting anonymously or send comments back and forth.
No one ever gets your real name, cell number, or e-mail address. Later on, if you want to exchange digits on your own, that’s your deal. Ball’s always in your court.
I don’t want to chat with anyone I’m not into
We hear you. That’s the beauty of Crush or Flush - you’ll only chat with people you’ve crushed or added as a friend. Of course, if they haven’t crushed you back or accepted your friend invite, then you’re out of luck.
What’s a Crush?
A Crush is what it sounds like - you like someone, think their cool, want to hang out, be friends, hook up… you get it. If you like them, hit Crush.
What’s a Flush?
A Flush is the opposite of a Crush. If you don’t like someone, hit Flush. They’ll never know you flushed them so no hard feelings.
Is it safe?
Privacy and safety are built in. Unlike traditional sites where members can hide behind multiple profiles tied to different e-mail addresses, on Crush or Flush you can only have one profile that is tied to your cell number. During the sign-up process, your cell number is used to verify that you’re a real person, and there can only be one profile per number. If someone harasses you or causes a problem, we’ll block their number and they’ll permanently disappear.
I don’t want anyone to know my personal 411
We’re with you - no one ever gets your real name, cell number, or e-mail address. Later on, if you want to exchange digits on your own, that’s your deal. Ball’s always in your court. People can only see your profile that you create. When you and someone else are friends, you can text anonymously. Keeping your personal 411 private is important to us. Crush or Flush will never share or sell your cell number to anyone. We work hard to keep our service safe and secure for you.
Who can use Crush or Flush™?
If you’re 18 or older, you can use Crush or Flush - regardless of your sex, race, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and religion. We’re creating an environment that is inclusive and safe for everyone.
Why do I have to be at least 18 years old?
Because were a place for adults to meet, chat, and hang out with friends. We don’t want creepy adults viewing profiles of underage people – that’s wrong.
What if I want to meet people who are into Ben and Jerry’s and snuggling?
They’re up on Crush or Flush - check’em out. The cool thing is that you can find people with similar interests to you. If you find the tag ‘fiesta animal’ you can click on it and browse other people’s pictures who share the tag ‘fiesta animal’.
How do I find and chat with people who have a crush on me?
Easy. Click on ‘Crushed me’ under MY STUFF. Same deal - if you like ‘em you can crush them back and chat, if not, flush ‘em and they'll never know. It's that simple.

Will this work on my phone?
Yes. Crush or Flush works on all cell phones, iPhones and iTouchs and all carriers across the U.S. Still don’t believe us? Ask us for help. If it doesn’t work on your cell here’s some tips:
- Go to the store and retire that 5 year old brick phone - welcome to the modern world.
- Tell you carrier to turn your mobile internet on. Remember, the phone company may charge you to use data and text messaging on your phone - standard rates apply and vary by carrier … you know the drill.
How do I get it on my phone?
Send a text message to CRUSH (27874) and you’ll get a text back that gives you the 411. Or, click I can't sign in under the Sign in button and we’ll send a text to your phone. Once you get it, click the link to start Crush or Flush™. Some phones allow you to directly click on links and other phones make you use a menu. Once Crush or Flush™ loads up you should probably create a bookmark so it is easy to get to next time. Not sure how? Ask us for help.
How do I create an account?
On this website, just click Sign up on the right bar. Enter your sex (hey, get your mind outta the gutter!) , whether you want to connect with men, women or both, enter your cell number and click “Sign up” Create profile and follow directions. Or, on your cell, send a text message to CRUSH (27874) and you’ll get a text back that gives you the 411.
How do I log in?
- On a computer, enter your cell number and pin.
- On a cell phone, follow the screen prompts - you can do it. Unless you have enormous fingers…
What's my nickname?
Whatever name you want to call yourself (but keep it clean) - it's that simple.
How do I add/change my photo?
If you already have a main profile photo (close up face pics needed for main pics) and want to add some to your albums, click on “add photo” at the bottom of the page and from your computer, click “choose a photo”.
To delete or move pics around in your albums, click on “edit my profile”.
Your photo will appear as soon as it is approved, within 24 hours. Pick your best and most recent photo … you’re not fooling anyone. Choose a close up face shot that shows your eyes well. Remember, people are going to be checking you out from their cell phone screens. If someone else is in your pic, make sure to use photo editing software to draw an arrow or something to let us know which one’s you so we can crop them out. Otherwise, just send us a pic of you alone.
How can I add a photo using my camera phone?
Send them to photo@crushorflush.com
The steps are a little different on every phone - look for an option like ‘Messages’, ‘Email’, ‘Picture Messaging’, ‘MMS’ or ‘Multimedia Messages’. Then look for an option to insert a picture. You can also use your phone’s camera menu. Look for something like ‘View photos’ and pick the photo you want to send. Then find an option like ‘Send in Message’.
Any pic restrictions?
Not really….other than no nudies. Save those for another kind of site. Send us a gif, jpg or png - less than 3MB. Photo too big? Open it using a photo editor and crop your pic so it so just your face shows (make sure it’s a close up shot).
What do the numbers mean next to the words?
When you're crushin' and flushin', you’ll find shortkeys next to text links. Press the number on your phone’s keypad instead of clicking the link … whatever's easier. 1 for Crush, 2 for Flush
How does chat work and how do I check my messages?
Chat works like e-mail and IM. You can send messages back and forth without being online and you’ll see a running conversation with each friend so you know where you left off last. This means no more tellin' the same joke twice.
Crushin' and Flushin' is easy … just give it a try or get more info.
I want more attention!
Try this:
- Pick your best, recent photo - you are not foolin' anyone
- Choose a close up face shot that shows your eyes
- Add tags that describe you or snag a tag from someone else if your not feeling creative
- Make your description brief and fun - no one wants to read a novel on their cell phone
- Buy a gift! Who doesn’t like getting gifts? Not enough coins? Buy more for next to nothing.
- Lower your standards, get crushin' - you can never have too many friends? Riiight
- If all else fails, try an extreme makeover or see your therapist
How do I find and chat with people who have a crush on me?
Easy. Click on ‘Crushed me’ under MY STUFF. Same deal - if you like them you can crush them back and chat, if not, flush them and they'll never know. It's that simple.
How do I chat with friends?
Go to’my friends’, click on the friend you want to chat with, and click on msg (just above their pic).
Can I see a history of who I’ve Crushed and Flushed?
Yes, but only you can see this. Click on ‘more’ under MY STUFF. Go to the bottom of the page and voila!
How do I hook up my friends?
Easy. Click on ‘invite friends’ or share and enter their cell number or e-mail. It’s similar to forwarding e-mail. Your friend will get a text message and can then Crush or Flush the person - even if they aren’t t signed up yet.
What if I want to hook up all my friends?
Easy. Click on ‘invite friends’ and send a text message to your own cell. Then use your phone to forward it to everyone you want. Most phones allow you to send the message to many people at once.
